PSA: Seraph of the End manga

January 18, 2017

Read it. You know you want to. At least if you want to know what happens after the anime ends. For those of you who don’t want to read the entire thing you should start with volume 11, but I recommend reading the whole thing due to the many details that never made it into the anime. You could even read just the last chapter of volume 11 since that’s the only big thing that wasn’t in the anime.

You might wonder where you can get your hands on the manga and I’ll answer that for you. At the Book Depository. It’s fairly cheap and they have free delivery to most parts of the world. While you’re at it, you might also want to pre-order volume 12 and maybe even have a look at the prequel light novel, featuring Guren before the end of the world. It’s pretty great.

Anyways, that’s all I wanted to say. Until we meet again!

Seraph of it’s literally the End – OAD

October 15, 2016

derpdesuyo-owari-no-seraph-oadTFW you’re technically a main character but nobody cares because you’re not Shinoa

Oh. Delayed post is delayed because I was kinda sleeping or so. Anyway.

Totally not an ominous title or anything nope. Hi. This OAD release officially marks the end of our work with Seraph as there’s just nothing more of the series in the works. Go read the manga though, it’s good. Also go read the prequel LN; it’s even better. Like, way better.

In case you don’t remember, both the TV and BD releases of Seraph as well as this OAD have been done jointly with the good folks over at DameDesuYo. I typo’d that like four times before I got it right. Fingers pls.

On another note, I still intend to eventually get those LOLHeroes BDs out. One day. Also ItsuTen. Or I might just let Squiggy do whatever he wants with ItsuTen if it takes too long before I get to that. There isn’t really that much to do on ItsuTen anyway since that had a proper team working on it from the start and the quality is already passable. The main reason that hasn’t happened yet is because LOLH is higher on my priorities and that’s a lot more work. LOLHeroes will see the light of day eventually, even if it’s the last thing I do.

Finally, other than LOLHeroes and possibly ItsuTen, this will most likely be the last release we ever do here at Derp. I’d planned for the joint with DDY as a kind of publicity stunt to see if I could attract some talent to help revive Derp, but the response has been quite underwhelming to say the least. As such, there’s no feasible way to keep going, but frankly most anime isn’t worth the time these days anyway. Or that’s my opinion at least. If you’re still enjoying all the anime that airs, good for you. Note how this post is also a final call for help reviving the group.

And with that, I’m signing out. See you again when LOLHeroes is ready.

Seraph of the End S2 BD Batch

June 16, 2016

Oh, hi. Remember me?

Me neither.

Anyroads, I’m fairly certain you’ve read the title and know what I’m here to tell you. If you didn’t, then here’s the not-quite-as-long-awaited-as-LOLH-but-still-pretty-long-awaited BD batch of Seraph’s second season, featuring exciting new content such as higher resolution and also the same resolution, but marginally better! And probably some script derps fixed. Yes, derps. Not Derps. I can never be fixed. I don’t even know.

Oh, right. There’s also the second season of Seraph of the Endless included. You know, those short silly little things. The “bloopers”, so to speak.

But I digress, you’re here for links and not my babbling, albeit entertaining.

720p: Torrent | DDL | No magnets for you #BlameWordpress

Edit: SO apparently Saeval derped and forgot to mux the ED fonts into some of the episodes (only some of them, really? How?) which means there’ll probably be some patches. Or a re-released torrent. Or something, it’s up to begna and the gang really; I’ll just kick back and enjoy the chaos. Stay tuned for more interesting developments!
Edit2: Well, apparently the 1080p’s are remuxed and stuff now. Also apparently waiting for two re-encodes on 720p.
Edit3: Ayy guess what, Saeval ducked up again and there’s not v3. Good job. Also 720p v2’s v3’s still encoding apparently. I don’t even know, I just put the links up when I get them.

Seraph of the End: Battle in Nagoya – 12 (and kind of future plans)

December 27, 2015

And that marks the end of the second season of this joint with DameDesuYo. I’ve heard there’s supposedly something else planned, an OVA or something, so you’ll see that coming out eventually as well. And there’s the BDs with the accompanying specials too, so we’re not entirely done with this show yet. I doubt we’ll get much continuation after S2 though, as this is after all a show based on work by Kagami Takaya. His stuff never gets sequels; it’s surprising this even got two seasons in the first place. This was planned as split-cour from the beginning, so it’s kind of like LOLHeroes just that it was spread out over a longer period and with a break in the middle. Regardless, there’ll be a little bit more, but that’s the last we’ll see of this show.

Wrote a bunch of stuff below about the future and some other stuff, read it if you want.

Seraph of the End: Battle in Nagoya – 11

December 20, 2015

A lot more Shinoa this week, but nothing really interesting.

This apparent delay between begna’s post over at DDY and this post was brought to you by shitty download speed. Gotta get the episode before I can choose a release pic.

I can’t think of a non-generic joint message so let’s just say this is a joint with our good friends at DameDesuYo. And let’s save the best one for the last episode.
